  • Addressing barriers to higher education access and success family privilege across the lifespan

  • Supporting transitions from foster care to higher education and careers

  • Navigating careers in child welfare and education as lived experience experts

  • Cultivating authentic partnerships with lived experience experts

  • Youth empowerment

  • Multidimensional, intersectional, and cultural perspectives on foster care experience

  • Emancipatory research practices and engaging Foster Scholar research consultants

  • Review and evaluation of programs for young people with experience in foster care
